Victoria Day on Monday, May 20 is a statutory holiday honouring Queen Victoria's birthday (May 24, 1819).

What’s Open:

Major malls and shopping centres are open, including Upper Canada Mall (11 a.m. to 6 p.m.), Promenade Shopping Mall (11 a.m. to 6 p.m.), Vaughan Mills, Tanger Outlet (10 a.m. to 6 p.m.), CF Markville Mall (11 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and Hillcrest Mall (11 a.m. to 6 p.m.). 

The Walmart Supercentre on Yonge Street is open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

What’s closed:

Most major grocery stores are closed, but some may be open on reduced hours.

Municipal recreation and fitness centres, including the Magna Centre, are closed and all classes are cancelled.

Newmarket Public Library is closed Mondays.

LCBO and the Beer Store outlets are closed.

Businesses and government offices are closed.

Banks and post offices are closed. Canada Post will not collect and deliver mail.
