Sunday, Dec. 8 - The Very Useful Theatre Company (VUTC) presents a dramatic reading of A Christmas Carol with guests the Take Note Vocal Ensemble at New Hope Methodist Church - 7 p.m. Tickets $20 (adults) and $15 (seniors & children over 12) - 905-727-3290 or www.vutc.ca . Portion of proceeds will be donated to the Newmarket Food Pantry.

Tuesday, Dec. 10 - The Newmarket Citizens Band presents Sounds of the Season at Seniors’ Meeting Place, 474 Davis Dr., Newmarket. Free. Donations to the Newmarket Food Pantry and Christmas Toy Drive will be collected.

Saturday, Dec. 14 - Voices of Joy Choir present A Voices of Joy Christmas at Bethel Community Church, 333 Davis Dr., Newmarket - 2:30 p.m. Free will offering.

Sunday, Dec. 15 - Trinity United Church Choir and soloists present Saint-Saens' Christmas Oratorio and favourite Christmas music, readings and carols at 461 Park Ave. (at Main) - 7:00 p.m. Free will offering and reception.

Friday, Dec. 20 - Ron Korb Christmas Concert - Ron (flute) and his band perform Christmas, Celtic & Ron’s original music in a festive concert at Sharon Hope United Church, 18648 Leslie St., Sharon.  Tickets $30 & info 905-478-2231.
