April Hess of Newmarket won a $250,000 top prize with Instant Bingo Multiplier.

Newmarket resident April Hess plans to throw a pizza party for her co-workers after winning a $250,000 prize with Instant Bingo Multiplier (Game #3078).

"I was playing my ticket, and I thought I won $30 at first. I kept playing the rest of the ticket, and I couldn't believe it when I won $250,000. I just kept thinking, 'This can't be real,'" the 34-year-old restaurant employee said while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings.

When she showed her ticket to her dad, he thought she won $250, she added. 

"I said, 'No, I won $250,000!'" she laughed. "My co-workers were also very shocked when I told them."

Hess plans to spend her winnings wisely, "I will invest, travel and pay off some bills. I will also treat my coworkers to a pizza party," she concluded.

Instant Bingo Multiplier is available for $10 a play, and the top prize is $250,000. The odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.49.

The winning ticket was purchased at Shell Select on Leslie Street in Newmarket.
