TOWN OF EAST GWILLIMBURY
Tapestry of Taste (TOT), presented by Rice Group is back in town next weekend on Aug. 12 from 6 to 10 p.m. and Aug. 13 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the East Gwillimbury Civic Centre, 19000 Leslie St. This two-day event features live entertainment, an art show, various artisan vendors, delicious food, refreshing beverages, strolling entertainment, kids activities and more.
“We’ve hosted many events this summer in East Gwillimbury, and this is one I know our residents are looking forward to.” said Mayor Virginia Hackson. “Tapestry of Taste is a signature event that will connect our community through arts, culture, food, and heritage. I encourage everyone to come out and enjoy the experience.”
There’s a little something for everyone at TOT 2022. Whether you’re a foodie, music lover, or looking for something fun to do close to home, TOT is the perfect event for you and your family to enjoy, featuring four main areas:
CIBC Entertainment Zone - Live from the NewRoads stage, guests will enjoy performances from the Samba Squad, Elyse Saunders, Sol de Cuba, the Dancing Ladies, Abbamania and more.
Enbridge Gas Food and Beverage Zone - This area will showcase a variety of sweet and savoury food vendors. Guests who are 19+ will have the perfect pairing for their food with craft beer, from Old Flame Brewing Co.
Tiny Seedlings Kids Zone - Children will enjoy a variety of activities, games and entertainment including Dan the Music Man, Knights in the Classroom, singing and dancing with Tiiu Strutt, glitter tattoos, caricature artist and the Creative Lego Club.
Vendor Market and Art Show - Shop for local artisan goods, art pieces and visit with local organizations.
TOT kicks off on Friday evening with opening ceremonies on the NewRoads Stage at 6:15 p.m. Admission for the event is $5 for those over the age of five.
