INNISFIL - South Simcoe Police Service officers are searching for the suspect(s) who stole a cash box from a self-serve pumpkin stand in Innisfil.

On Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018, police were called to the area of Sideroad 10 and 9th Line for a report of a theft.

Officers learned that sometime between 11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018 and 8 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018 someone stole a safe that was attached to a wagon at a pumpkin stand.

An unknown amount of cash was taken.

These unmanned pumpkin stands rely on the honour system for payment and are a testament to the sense of trust in our great communities.
