Significant snowfall begins throughout much of southern Ontario

A total of 15 to 20 cm of snow is expected by the time it tapers off to a few flurries Sunday morning

Snowfall warning in effect for:
  • Newmarket - Georgina - Northern York Region
  • Uxbridge - Beaverton - Northern Durham Region

Snowfall with amounts near 20 cm expected today.

Snow, at times heavy, expected today. A total of 15 to 20 cm of snow is expected by the time it tapers off to a few flurries this evening.

Southeasterly winds gusting to 50 km/h will whip up the freshly fallen snow causing low visibilities at times in blowing snow today.

Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.

  • Pickering - Oshawa - Southern Durham Region
  • Vaughan - Richmond Hill - Markham

Snowfall with amounts near 15 cm expected today.

Snow, at times heavy, with total amounts near 15 cm expected by late this afternoon.

Southeasterly winds gusting to 50 km/h will whip up the freshly fallen snow resulting in low visibilities at times in blowing snow today.

The snow will taper off to a few showers or wet flurries late this afternoon or early this evening as temperatures edge above the zero degree mark.

Rapidly accumulating snow will make travel difficult. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Take frequent breaks and avoid strain when clearing snow.
