On Feb. 5, 2020, Jean Fraser and Fulvia Cantarutti of The Charitable Trust of the Canadian Federation of University Women of Aurora/Newmarket gratefully accepted a donation of $500 from Scotiabank branch managers Donny Selvaggi and Jane Ramos at their 14720 Yonge St. branch in Aurora.

All funds donated to the Charitable Trust help to further their common goal of promoting education for young women. The CFUW continues to do some very meaningful work in both advocacy and in the advancement of education through the efforts of their charitable trust.

The CFUW is a world of women helping women. Founded in 1919, CFUW is a national, voluntary, non-partisan, non-profit, self-funded bilingual organization with more than 8,000 women in over 100 clubs across Canada. CFUW members are active in public affairs, working to raise the social, economic and legal status of girls and women, as well as improving education, the environment, peace, justice and human rights.
