The snapd Richmond Hill Road Rally is taking the scavenger hunt on the road in support of York Region's seniors.

Teams will travel by car throughout York Region, competing against each other by completing different activities and challenges at fun and interesting locations to get points and win prizes, with proceeds of the Aug. 25 event supporting CHATS (Community and Home Assistance to Seniors).

You'll receive a team package with a list of places you need to find to complete each challenge. Some items you can expect include:

  • Show off your karate skills at Richmond Hill Budokan
  • Find Jake on Newmarket Main Street and get a team selfie
  • Visit title sponsor Vaughan Chrysler for some team fun and BIG points.

Each activity is allotted different point values, so it’s up to you to decide how you want to complete your hunt to get the most points. Listen to 105.9 TheRegion during the event and you will get bonus points by completing additional challenges put out by the radio station hosts.

The road rally has a 9 a.m shotgun start Aug. 25 at Richmond Green in Richmond Hill, and a 1 p.m. finish at the CHATS head office in Aurora, followed by a barbecue, prizes and silent auction.

The cost is $50 per car and $25 per motorcycle. Follow this link to register.

If you register before Friday, Aug. 16, you will be entered in a draw to win a gourmet sweet and savoury gift basket.
