‘Rolling Thunder Ottawa’ convoy planning noisy stop in Canada’s capital

With the 'Freedom Convoy 2022' occupation still fresh on the minds of Ottawa residents, another convoy is coming to the capital.

While details are scarce, it's clear the 'Rolling Thunder Ottawa' motorcycle group plans to make plenty of noise when it rolls into town on Friday, April 29.

In a viral TikTok video, member Neil Sheard says the group will be in Ottawa for two days and claims thousands of bikes are involved, but doesn't specify what they are protesting.

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) tells CityNews Ottawa it is aware of the incoming convoy.

“We continue to prepare for the planned demonstration (Rolling Thunder) on April 29th and 30th. The Interim Chief will be providing an update to the Board and public on Monday as part of his verbal report.”
