Registration is now open for the 2020 Nature’s Emporium Run for Southlake, the largest annual fundraiser in support of Southlake Regional Health Centre that brings together supporters from each of the many communities our hospital serves. Southlake Foundation invites you to sign up and start fundraising using this easy online platform, taking advantage of early-bird savings.

This 5K timed road race is a premier route along Davis Drive, passing under the Southlake bridge and directly past the hospital. The 2020 event is expected to draw as many as 2,000 participants – patients, families, friends, staff and community members who are passionate about supporting leading edge care close to home.

“It’s a great route for everyone, whether you’re looking for a competitive qualifying race or a leisurely stroll among friends,” said Susan Mullin, President & CEO of Southlake Foundation. “So join the fun and put together a team with friends and family or participate as an individual. You’ll be running alongside your neighbours, Southlake staff, physicians, nurses and volunteers, and you’ll be making a difference for your hospital.”

Early-bird pricing is available for those eager to start their new year's fitness resolutions early. Adults can participate at a discounted rate of $44 until March 1, and kids under 18 pay $20.

Registered participants will receive plenty of goodies, including a free technical T-shirt, race kit, race bib, finisher medal, finish line photo, and unlimited access to the Athlete’s Village and KidZone.

“What many people don’t realize is that the government does not provide funding for most new or replacement equipment,” said Mullin. “That’s why this event is so important to Southlake, raising funds for the highest priority needs so that our hospital can continue to deliver the leading edge and compassionate care that our communities expect and deserve.”

The 2020 Nature’s Emporium Run for Southlake takes place Sunday, April 26, 2020. It’s a fun, family-friendly event, and perfect for all fitness and skill levels of runners and walkers alike. For more information or to register today, visit www.runforsouthlake.ca.
