Public health issues orders to King, Georgina restaurants

Restaurants in Georgina and King were issued several orders by York Region public health inspectors last week.

Both the Canadian Madeira Club at 24120 Highway 48 in Georgina and Nobleton Tandoori at A - 12984 Highway 27 in King received orders issued June 29 regarding an inadequate supply of potable water available for the operation of the premises, according to a Community and Health Services, Health Protection Division inspection report for Monday, June 27 and Sunday, July 3.

Both restaurants also received orders that stated the owners/operators failed to maintain the food premises in a clean and sanitary condition, and failed to provide adequate protection against the entrance of insects, vermin or rodents at the time of the inspection on June 29, according to the report.

No charges were laid during the reporting period.
