Timothy Street between Main Street and Doug Duncan Drive will be closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28 as ongoing roadwork continues.
The Town of Newmarket is redoing the intersection at Timothy and Cedar streets and once completed, the area will feature new paving, pedestrian ramps and tactile plates at the crossing that are compliant with accessibility regulations, as well as sidewalk and curb replacements.
Construction began Sept. 15 at the downtown intersection and is expected to be completed by mid-October, weather permitting.
Work on the project also involves the removal and reinstatement of the asphalt surface in the lane south of Timothy.
