Whether they’ve been naughty or nice this year, bring your pet to the Ontario SPCA Provincial Education & Animal Centre in Stouffville on Saturday, Nov. 23 for some holiday fun.

Fluffy, Fido and the entire family can have their photo taken with Santa between 10 a.m. and noon, at which time Old Saint Nick will be heading back to the North Pole where his elves are busy making toys. For a minimum $10 donation, pet owners will receive a professional photo of their furry friends and family.

There will also be a holiday market, which will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Come out and get a head start on your holiday shopping with items from local vendors.

With gifts for humans and animals alike, the marketplace has something for everyone. And if that doesn’t get you into the holiday spirit, festive treats and hot chocolate are sure to sweeten your mood.

The animals at the centre also have a wish list of much needed items they’re hoping to find in their stocking. Requested items can be purchased on the Provincial Education & Animal Centre’s online wish list and brought to the holiday event to support vulnerable animals in the community.

Proceeds from this fundraiser help the Ontario SPCA Provincial Education & Animal Centre care for vulnerable animals in the community and get them back on their feet and into loving homes.

“We want the holidays to be fun for the entire family, including the furry family members,” says Elizabeth Westover, Manager, Ontario SPCA Provincial Education & Animal Centre. “This event gets people in the festive spirit and it rings true to the spirit of the season by giving animals the second chance they deserve.”
