Part of Kennedy Road in East Gwillimbury to close this weekend

REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY OF YORK

The Regional Municipality of York is temporarily closing Kennedy Road from Doane Road to Queensville Sideroad East in the Town of East Gwillimbury starting Saturday, Dec. 7 at 7 a.m. to Sunday, Dec. 8 at 12 p.m. for the replacement of two culverts.

The two culverts on Kennedy Road are approximately 600 metres south of Queensville Sideroad East in the Town of East Gwillimbury and need to be replaced immediately.
 
During the temporary closure, no through traffic will be permitted. Local access to Kennedy Road will be maintained from Doane Road to properties south of the replacement and from Queensville Sideroad to properties north of the replacement area. Electronic message boards have been placed in the area to advise motorists of the temporary road closure.
