If your passion and interests include racial equity, local history, accessibility, or property standards, there are several opportunities to make a difference on a Town of Newmarket committee.

Committee members can help shape policies and provide advice and assistance to Newmarket’s elected officials on a wide variety of issues.

Applications are now being accepted for positions on five separate committees as follows: one position on the accessibility advisory committee; up to 10 positions on the new anti-Black racism task force; one position on the appeal committee; one position on the Elman W. Campbell Museum Board; and one position on the property standards committee.

All applications must be submitted by Monday, Sept. 14 and emailed to [email protected].

Following the deadline, the appointment committee will review all applications and some applicants may be invited for a short interview. The committee will then recommend candidates to council for appointment.

All applicants will be notified of council's decision.

For more information about the opportunities, email [email protected].
