Do yourself a favour and avoid driving near Mulock Drive and Yonge Street until after 9 p.m. Saturday.
To accommodate road reconstruction activities for the Viva rapidway project, Mulock east of Yonge will be temporarily closed from Friday, Aug. 2 at 9 p.m. to Saturday, Aug. 3 at 9 p.m.
What you need to know:
- There is no access to Mulock, east of Yonge, during the work hours.
- Northbound Yonge will be reduced to one lane through the work zone and turning movements from Yonge to eastbound Mulock will be restricted.
- Traffic control personnel will be onsite for the duration of this work.
- Detour signs will be in place to guide motorists around the closure.
- Access to businesses and properties near the work areas will be maintained.
- Due to the nature of this work, there will be construction-related noise, vibration and dust from equipment and trucks.
- Expect delays and give yourself enough time to get to your destination.

Bus stops, sidewalks and crosswalk impacts:
- Bus stops, sidewalks and crosswalks will remain open.
- If a bus stop, sidewalk or crosswalk is closed, directional signs will guide pedestrians to the nearest open bus stop, sidewalk or crosswalk.
