Newmarket, Ontario – The Writers’ Community of York Region (WCYR) is proud to present a multitude of local authors at the Chapters Newmarket and Markham locations.
More than 20 authors will be available this weekend, Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5 at 17440 Yonge St. Newmarket and June 8 and 9 at 3175 Highway 7 East in Markham from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
You can meet the authors, find books for children, sci-fi buffs, lovers of mysteries and much more, and get your book signed by the author.
The WCYR encourages local authors in all genres and at all levels. Through monthly meetings and workshops, the group offers support, education, networking and the opportunity just to get out and hang with other authors and industry professionals for a few soul-satisfying hours.
The WCYR also supports events that promote the value of writers, where readers get a chance to experience and discover homegrown talent.
