Spring is the season for charity runs and walks.

No sooner is the ice off the ground and the weather warm enough to trade parkas for hoodies than participants dust off their running shoes, fundraise, and take to the streets – becoming ‘heroes’ for causes that range from local hospitals to research into life-threatening disease.
