Santo Bilotta, Daniel Aulicino and Marc Gallo of Maple got way into the game to win $79,814.60 with Pools (Football Pools Card 30, List #1339).
Group member Santo, 61, said the group has been playing Pools together for about five years.
“I was watching the games and got very excited when it was time for the last game,” shared Santo while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up their winnings. “I was dazzled. I never had this feeling before. At first, I thought we won $500, so I was very surprised!”
Santo said him and the other two group members had a hard time sleeping that night, knowing they were winners. “The anticipation kept us all up!”
Santo plans to use his winnings to pay some bills and save the rest. “I want to buy a new furnace as well,” he concluded.
