One ticket, one big win for the Newmarket resident who won the Newmarket Lions Club's final Catch the Ace draw.
This week, Anne McIntyre found the ace of spades for a jackpot of $61,895.
The Newmarket Lions resumed their weekly Catch the Ace draws last week after they were interrupted in the spring because of COVID-19.
McIntyre said it was her first time playing Catch the Ace, as she only just heard about it from a neighbour, and she had purchased one ticket — which has peeved her neighbour who has been playing every week.
She will be playing Catch the Ace in the future as she loves the idea of directly supporting local charities through the Lions Club.
Stay tuned, the Newmarket Lions have already applied to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission for a licence for the next Catch the Ace lottery. which will be worth $10,000 in the first week.
The Lions thank the many supporters who have been buying tickets.
