The Costco in East Gwillimbury had to close early on Thursday due to a power problem in the store.
Power in the store was out around 2:45 p.m. on Feb. 9, according to a post in a local Newmarket Facebook group. Shortly after that, the store had to close.
The store was still without power Friday, Feb. 10 and remained closed. However, shortly before noon, the power came back on and the store was able to re-open.
Administration at the store would not comment on what caused the issue, but staff confirmed the power was restored and the store was up and running.
Costco's regular opening hours are from 9 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Fridays.
