At the Aurora Bridge Club's annual holiday lunch and bridge event on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018, our fundraising efforts for Newmarket’s food bank were a great success! About 100 of our members were in attendance at the holiday event, which raised over $3,000 for the Newmarket Food Pantry.

We thank Newmarket Veterans’ Association for providing our club use of their facility free of charge for this event.

We also thank COB’s Bread Bakery for once again providing the bread for sandwiches, which allows us to give more to the charity.

Our non-profit club has been in Aurora for over 50 years and is now housed in Newmarket in the NVA building at 406 Millard Ave. Our 235 members will continue to support our local food bank at our annual holiday lunch and bridge events.

Sally Loates, Manager, Aurora Bridge Club
