The winter months have been known to increase feelings of depression and anxiety in most of us, but for those who deal with mental health challenges on a daily basis, the "blues" are a reality all year long.

To help us kick off our mental health support awareness campaign, Call.Talk.Connect., we asked our peers and staff what they tell people to help them cope with feelings of depression and anxiety.

Here are their top 5 tips:

  1. Talk to someone, anyone, about your mental health.
  2. Be in the moment.
  3. Get active — mind and body.
  4. Stay connected to the things you love/care about.
  5. Laugh!

For more helpful tips, check out our Call.Talk.Connect. campaign page.
