NEWS RELEASE
PROSPECTIVE MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS
*****************************
On Feb. 15, 2020, a high school student-run organization, known as Prospective Medical Professionals, will be holding its first STEM Fair at the Richmond Hill Centre of Performing Arts from 1 to 4 p.m.

Known as PuMP+, or ‘PuMP Plus’, the event will feature booths representing a myriad of opportunities in several STEM fields for high school students, including research, educational programs, university programs, summer programs, and more. Some booths that will be featured include University of Toronto, York University, Sanofi Biogenius, STEM Fellowship and The Knowledge Society.

For those who are unfamiliar with Prospective Medical Professionals, the registered student-run non-profit works to offer medical opportunities to high school students. It is also deeply involved with fellow student organizations, offering mentorship programs and additional opportunities through collaborations.

Founded in 2018, the organization has grown exponentially since then. Its approximately 50 dedicated members operate throughout the GTA, and are chosen through a rigorous application process. Each work very diligently in their respective sub-teams (logistics, public relations, technology and finance).

PuMP+ tickets can be obtained free of cost here and are going quickly. The STEM Fair is a great opportunity for high school students to plan for their future and get involved in the community, with free pizza, cake, and hundreds of dollars in raffle prizes!

Check out Prospective Medical Professionals on Facebook or Instagram (@pumpprofessionals) to learn more about the event, and how you can get involved.
