Your mechanic is quick and reliable, your pharmacist knows you by name, your local coffee shop remembers your daily order… those are just some of the reasons why you might love particular businesses. Why not show them your appreciation through a nomination for a Newmarket Chamber Business Excellence Award?

Now in its 32nd year, the Business Excellence Awards celebrate excellence, innovation and the spirit of entrepreneurship.

“It’s been such a challenging year for so many businesses,” says Tracy Walter, president and CEO of the Newmarket Chamber. “Recognition for a job well done is a huge morale boost—business owners need that so much right now.”

A nomination is a great way, she says, to celebrate a local business or not-for-profit, entrepreneur or young leader.

The Awards celebrate businesses and leaders across 11 categories:
    •    Small Business of the Year
    •    Large Business of the Year
    •    Not for Profit of the Year
    •    Innovation of the Year
    •    Professional Services of the Year
    •    New Business of the Year
    •    Young Professional of the Year
    •    Manufacturer of the Year
    •    Hospitality of the Year
    •    Entrepreneur of the Year
    •    Employer of the Year

Nominations are easy to do and take just two minutes to complete. People can nominate others or themselves. Deadline is April 16, 2021. Nominate a business and get further details, including categories and criteria, online.
