Got a ukulele and don't know what to do with it?

Or do you need a brush-up because your uke has been in the closet for too long?

Judy Marshak will have you strumming in no time.

The Newmarket resident regularly offers a fun two-hour "crash course" for "total beginners" interested in learning to play the ukelele.

The course covers basic tuning, strumming and chording, and you'll leave knowing how to play two or three songs, Marshak said.

"Want to get happy? Learn to play the ukulele," she added. "I promise you'll leave with the healthiest addiction you've ever had."

Printouts are included.

The class is held at 157 Queen St., Newmarket, and costs $50.

Registration is available for Sunday, Feb. 16 , or Sunday, March 8, from 2 to 4 p.m., via etransfer, cheque or cash. Call 905-717-8696 or email [email protected]

Intermediate-level workshop are also available "if you already play a bit", Marshak added.
