To mark 37 years as York Region’s cornerstone of theatrics, drama, arts and culture, Flato Markham Theatre is unveiling its lineup for the 2022-23 diamond season.

“Flato Markham Theatre continues to provide a place not only for global performers and artists to connect with our community, but for Canadian talent as well,” said Markham Mayor Frank Scarpitti. “With the new diamond season, there will be plenty of opportunities to explore artistry from all over the world and right here at home.”

The new season features touring theatre productions, world premieres, award-winning musicians, comedy, magic, dance, rock 'n’ roll, and returns of holiday classics. Canadian icons will also light up the Flato stage, such as April Wine, Jann Arden, Pavlo, the Tenors, Dan Hill, Myles Goodwyn, and Tom Cochrane.

Carrying over from the 2022 spring season is the Simply Series, sponsored by Flato Developments and the Department of Canadian Heritage. The Simply Series highlights a selection of Canadian artists with never-before-told stories shared in an intimate setting with the audience.

“Live is Back! The 22/23 diamond season focuses on giving audiences the opportunity to come back and have fun, relax, enjoy the moment, reconnect with their favourite artists and the unique experience of live entertainment,” said Eric Lariviere, general manager of Flato Markham Theatre.
