The organization now has nearly 1,000 members and a team of volunteers.

The Georgina Pride Ride, which was launched in 2020 as safe event for the community during the COVID-19 pandemic, has become a successful event with more than 400 participants in 2023.

This year's event will be biggest yes, organizer said, with more than 100 vehicles expected to take part.

"Now more than ever the community needs the support and visibility. We are proud to be who we are and we won't back down."
