YORK CATHOLIC DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD

The York Catholic District School Board, which is one of the top-performing school boards in the province, welcomes new students for the 2019-2020 school year!
Registrations for students entering elementary school, as well as assessments for secondary students who are new to Canada, will take place at the Board’s head office, the Catholic Education Centre during the summer. Elementary schools will be closed from July 2nd to August 23rd. Secondary schools will be closed from July 2 to Aug. 16.
The Board’s Admissions Department will accept registrations for Kindergarten - Grade 8 students, Mondays to Thursdays, from July 8 to Aug. 22, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Children born in 2015 are eligible for Junior Kindergarten, while children born in 2014 are eligible for Senior Kindergarten.
Parents/Guardians will need to bring the following documentation to register their child/children:
- Roman Catholic Baptismal Certificate (for child or parent)
- Proof of Age
- Proof of Status in Canada
- Proof of Residency (Property Tax Bill or Proof of Purchase or Lease/Rental Agreement AND Utility Bill or Phone Bill)
- Proof of English Separate School Support, such as a property tax bill or MPAC Property Assessment Notice (school support forms can be provided, if necessary)
YCDSB Elementary School Registration
When: July 8 – Aug. 22, Monday – Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Where: Catholic Education Centre, 320 Bloomington Road W., Aurora
Assessments for secondary students who are new to Canada need to be completed before a student can register for high school. Appointments for assessments can be booked for July 31 to Aug. 30 by calling the Board’s head office. Registrations for all secondary students will take place at local Catholic high schools starting Monday, Aug. 19.
