Newmarket Mayor John Taylor invites you to join him tonight for a skate at his first Mayor's New Year's Levee.

You're invited to join Newmarket Mayor John Taylor and members of council in celebrating the arrival of the New Year at Riverwalk Commons tonight.

The mayor's first New Year's Levee from to 6 to 9 p.m. offers free outdoor skating on the Tim Hortons Skating and Water Feature, a special light display, live DJ, free hot chocolate, free train rides on the Tim Hortons Express, food vendors, special promotions, raffles and prizes — Oakley sunglasses, Toronto Maple Leaf Sweaters, Tim Hortons gift cards, Joia Restaurant gift cards — and more.

Be sure to bundle up, a low of -12C is forecast tonight, but with the wind chill, it could feel like -18C. There is a risk of frostbite with the UV index remaining at 1.

While Frozen Fridays at Riverwalk Commons have wrapped up for the season, Winter Wonderland continues with the Newmarket Ice Lounge and Surprise Saturdays.
