KITCHENER - 'The show must go on' means a lot more to some companies than others, that's according to Beyond Oz President Gabriel Mattacchione.

Beyond Oz is hosting this weekend's Slamfest - which will feature Queensryche, Skid Row and Great White - at Bingemans and are now giving free tickets to anyone who paid for the now-cancelled music festival - Roxodus.

Beyond Oz says this isn't a move to appease the fans who had already given out their hard-earned cash, but rather they are doing it to restore faith in promotion companies.

They are not in any way connected to the Roxodus event which was being put on by MF Live Inc.

Mattacchione spoke about his companies rationale behind the decision, "We wanted to offer a gesture of good faith to our fellow rockers, that some promoters do get events together, and events do happen."

An employee involved in the Roxodus festival is under investigation by the OPP.

You can apply for the free tickets for Slamfest through Beyond Oz's website.
