Internationally acclaimed pianist Yukine Kuroki is making a single stop in Canada at Trinity United Church in Newmarket on Nov. 3.
Kuroki is a first-prize winner of the International Liszt Piano Competition, as well as the Dublin Piano Competition, both in 2022, and received the third prize at the Rubinstein Competition in 2023.
She has performed sold-out shows at the Concertge-bouw Amsterdam with the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic, the Tokyo New City Orchestra, the Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Lithuanian National Symphony, among others.
The upcoming season will see her making her debut at Carnegie Hall (United States), Wigmore Hall (United Kingdom), Munich Gasteig (Germany), Villa Wahnfried Bayreuth (Germany), Verbier Festival (Switserland) and Kuhmo Hall (South Korea), as well as a return to the Dublin National Orchestra and Concertgebouw Amsterdam.
Her recordings, Christmas with Yukine and Live at Liszt Utrecht, can be found on Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal and all other streaming platforms.
The recital, which is part of the celebration of Trinity United's 200th anniversary, begins at 3 p.m.
