NEWS RELEASE
FURRY FRIENDS ANIMAL SHELTER
*************************
You don’t need mistletoe to get kisses! Furry Friends is bulging at the seams with over 100 newborns rescued this summer and fall from the Barrie area and they want to show you the love! Now that the kittens are fixed, inoculated and microchipped, they join our adult wards seeking “forever homes."

Furry Friends is partnering with PetSmart Charities of Canada to host a National Adoption Weekend, Friday, Nov. 8 – Sunday, Nov. 10 at PetSmart, 33 Mapleview Drive East, Barrie.

This time we’re joining with the Alliston & District Humane Society for the biggest ADOPTATHON we’ve ever had featuring over 50 adorable cats and kittens hoping to find homes and families to call their own.

Adoption volunteers will be onsite to help you find the right cat or kitten for your family and will guide you through the adoption process. Adoption fees range from $170 - $220 (cash only). All cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and treated against parasites. Most are also microchipped. In addition, PetSmart provides all adopters with an adoption starter kit coupon book valued at $550.

If you’ve been thinking about bringing a furry friend into your family, now’s the time!
