6 York students attain perfect grade averages

Six students from Bayview Secondary School in Richmond Hill are the York Region District School Board's top scholars for 2018-19. 

Students Oustan Ziyi Ding, Grace Huang, Grace Liu, Jeremy Jieming Sun; Cecilia Xia; and Tomer Zaidman all achieved perfect grade averages of 100 per cent.

“Congratulations to our top scholars on their remarkable achievement,” said Corrie McBain, Chair of the Board. “Their achievements are a reflection of the important role our staff, families and community members play in supporting student success.” 

“These students are among thousands of York Region public students who have achieved academic excellence in our schools throughout the year,” said Louise Sirisko, Director of Education. “Their success reflects hours of dedication of study and persistence.  I am very proud of their incredible accomplishments and the dedication of our staff who have kept expectations high and enabled extraordinary achievement.”
