They ran and walked along Davis Drive Sunday in the 17th annual Nature's Emporium Run for Southlake, raising close to $178,000 for their local hospital

More than 1,800 participants took to Davis Drive Sunday in the 2019 Nature's Emporium Run for Southlake, raising close to $178,000 for their local hospital.

With still two weeks for donors to make pledges, the tally is currently at 88 per cent of goal.

The top fundraisers in their categories are:

  • Tom Mrakas, Individual, $9,425
  • Navigators on the Move, Community Friends and Families, $6,860
  • Town of Aurora, Mayors Challenge, $12,210
  • Cancer Centre Cruiser, Top Hospital Team, $19,768
  • Scotiabank GTA North Division, Financial Institution, $9,260
  • Orange Theory Fitness Newmarket and Aurora, Corporate and Business, $4,945

Proceeds from Southlake Foundation’s 17th annual run will continue to help fund upgraded equipment for the hospital’s operating rooms.
