NEWS RELEASE
100 YOUTH WHO CARE
*************************

100 Youth Who Care - Central York Region is welcoming new members to its next meeting, Wednesday, Feb. 20, to join them in having a positive impact on the lives of underserved youth in Newmarket, Aurora and East Gwillimbury.

The group is made up of youth between 10 and 17 years of age ( and their parents, too) who have donated $5,700 to date to local charities after learning about the real needs in our local communities.

You'll share positive energy, fun and ideas with like-minded youth, and have to opportunity to enhance your leadership skills.

The meetings are short and literally sweet — they end with snacks — for one-hour, four times a year. The members facilitate a fun and interactive meeting, in which they conduct a visual presentation and award their cheque to the charity selected at the previous meeting, pose for photographs, and donate a minimum of $10 each, select a new charity to receive the next donation, and enjoy a light snack.

The 100 YOUTH Committee has lots planned for the year ahead and will be sharing their new video, thanks to local business sponsor Kristina Clement, at the Feb. 20 meeting, which is from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Royal Bank branch at 17770 Yonge St., Newmarket.

Also, Kerry’s Place, the successful recipient from our November 2018 meeting, will share how the youth donation of $660 is positively impacting the lives of youth who they serve.

Our vision is to: inspire youth to contribute to their community; engage youth in local initiatives to help others; and empower youth to create positive change locally.

To join, simply attend the meeting, sign up online at www.100youthwhocarecentralyorkregion.com or email [email protected].
