Re: June 27 article, Immunity from lawsuits a real concern, lawyer says.

Eighty-one per cent of the COVID deaths in Canada took place in long-term care facilities. I don't know the breakdown regarding seniors versus the disabled, but I would bet most were never admitted for care.

Hospitals and long-term care do not come under the Ontario Ombudsman, so there is no recourse for families. Now they want to take away the right of families to take legal action?

Just consider how many facility staff walked away from the vulnerable, beginning with Participation House in Markham. DISGUSTING!

I am concerned that needed medical care isn't provided to members of society who some consider "a financial burden."

How could anyone be that naive to believe the government cares? The statistics and policies speak volumes.
