Re: Teen calls out lack of mental health help, despite paying $35K for Aurora rehab, Oct. 22, 2024.

I am very sympathetic with the plight of Ava and her family for being caught up in the never-ending circle that claims to provide little or no help for persons that need help with mental health.

It’s outrageous that after spending $35,000-plus, no one has answers. If patients or families can’t rely on the health facility or private clinics to show some compassion, then what’s next?

Instead of the government trying to ease gridlock by promising to build tunnels, how about using that money for more mental health care facilities and personnel to ease the backlog as it heads toward an epidemic?
