Re: Letter to the Editor: Licence plate sticker refund shows appallingly skewed priorities, April 29, 2022
I agree with Anne Keith's letter to the editor about the driver's licence refund. Great point, Anne, if you can afford a car, you can afford the payments such as the driver's licence sticker renewals.
Premier Doug Ford is missing everything. Yes, more money needs to go into so many more important issues listed by Anne, including health care, and I would say education and post COVID-19 recovery and helping young kids get jobs. Both my kids lost their jobs during COVID.
I agree, why build an unnecessary Highway 413 and Bradford Bypass? We are in a climate crisis and we need to be serious about climate change now! And to think no government is blinking an eye about plowing over farmland and significant wetlands and not thinking forward about how this highway will pollute Lake Simcoe and its tributaries. Not to mention its impact on human health, and fisheries and wildlife habitats.
We need more people like Anne to voice their opinions. I agree with Anne, do you? Pass it on.
