NEWS RELEASE
SOUTHLAKE REGIONAL HEALTH CENTRE
*************************
Southlake Regional Health Centre continues to enforce its no visitor policy in the Emergency Department as patient levels rise.

Southlake is beginning to see a return of very high levels of patient visits to its Emergency Department (ED). To keep everyone safe and allow for physical distancing, the no visitor policy remains in effect and is being strictly enforced as staff manage the volumes in the confined spaces of the department.

There continues to be no access for visitors, family members or caregivers.

Exceptions include one support person for children or patients that require language interpretation or have communication challenges. These exceptions must be approved by ED staff.

Southlake is working to balance increasing visitors to the ED while protecting patients and staff and as the situation evolves, the latest information can be found on the hospital website: https://www.southlake.ca.
