Confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ontario increase by 43 to 257

No additional cases are being reported in York Region this morning

No additional COVID-19 cases in York Region are being reported this morning, March 19, while the province has added 43 confirmed cases, bringing Ontario's total to 257. 

However, no details are being provided for 22 of the province's confirmed cases on its dedicated website.

Last night, York Region public health reported two additional cases in Markham , bringing the regional total to 24.

As for the additional confirmed cases with details reported in Ontario today, all are travel related in Toronto, Halton, Peel, Durham, Hamilton, Ottawa, Eastern Ontario, and Haliburton Kawartha, other than a close contact case in Waterloo.

To date in Ontario, 16,650 individuals have been tested for coronavirus, with 3,972 awaiting results currently, and 12,421 have tested negative. Five of the cases have been resolved and one patient is deceased.
