Additional COVID-19 vaccines available for York Region seniors aged 80+

2,000 vaccines are available at the York Region Public Health clinics in Georgina and Richmond Hill only, and can be booked online only as of 8:30 a.m. Thursday, March 4
To further support immunization of York Region’s most vulnerable residents, York Region Public Health is opening a very limited supply of approximately 2,000 appointments for COVID-19 vaccination for residents age 80+ (born in 1941 or earlier).
York Region residents age 80+ can book an appointment beginning Thursday, March 4, 2021 at 8:30 a.m. Appointments can be booked at

The additional appointments are only available at the York Region Public Health led COVID-19 vaccination clinics on Thursday, March 4 and Friday, March 5 from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the following two locations:
  • Richmond Green Sports Centre located in the City of Richmond Hill
  • Georgina Ice Palace located in the Town of Georgina
Vaccines delivered through these clinics are being offered to York Region residents age 80+ (born 1941 or earlier) at this time. Proof of age and residency is required.
The online process for booking an appointment at these clinics requires two steps. Individuals booking appointments must first create an account and then book an appointment.
Residents age 80+ who are not comfortable booking an online appointment are encouraged to seek out a support person (caregiver, family member or friend) who can assist in booking this appointment on their behalf.
There are a very limited number of appointments available and we expect appointments will be booked extremely quickly.
As additional vaccine doses are made available, York Region remains committed to communicate to residents through multiple communication channels, including, social media and our media and community partners.
We ask everyone for their ongoing patience.
Walk-in appointments are not available; please do not visit a vaccination clinic without an appointment – you will be turned away.
