CANADA: Fresh-cut vegetable recall expanded to over 40 products

The CFIA has expanded its recall of various fresh-cut vegetable products from the marketplace due to possible listeria monocytogenes contamination.

On Nov. 1, Compliments brand vegetables were recalled from Sobey's retailers in Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Saskatchewan.

A total of 44 additional products are being recalled from Canadian retailers, distributors, and food service establishments such as hotels, restaurants, cafeterias, hospitals, and nursing homes.

The products, sold under the brand name Mann's, Sysco Imperial and Western Family, should not be used and returned to the point of purchase. 

Some of the recalled products include Mann's Broccoli Cole Slaw, Caulilini -- Baby Cauliflower, Kale Beet Blend, and Power Blend, as well as Mann's Crave a Bowl, Mann's Family Favorites, Mann's Nourish Bowls and Mann's Snacking Favorites. Only one product from each Sysco Imperial and Western Family have been recalled by the CFIA.

There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products.
