NewmarketToday, in partnership with the Ontario SPCA Provincial Education & Animal Centre, brings you a regular feature highlighting special pets in need of adoption.

Rue is a short-haired female cat looking to find the purr-fect home! This energetic and playful two-year-old would make a great addition to any home.

Found as a stray, Rue came into the care of the Ontario SPCA Provincial Education & Animal Centre with her two kittens. Once old enough, both kittens found their fur-ever homes. Now Rue is looking to find her forever family!

Her sweet nature and adaptability would make her a good companion for most families, including those with children.

Rue is up-to-date with vaccinations and has been spayed and microchipped. The animal care team at the Provincial Education & Animal Centre will be happy to provide recommendations to potential adopters on creating a smooth transition when welcoming a new animal into the home.

For more information on Rue, or to see other animals available for adoption, visit ontariospca.ca/peac or call 905-898-7122, ext. 306.

Not ready to adopt, but have a young animal enthusiast at home? Registration is now open for the Ontario SPCA Fall Virtual Future Vet program, designed for ages 8-11 years old. Visit ontariospca.ca/peac for more info or to register.
