NewmarketToday, in partnership with the Ontario SPCA Provincial Education & Animal Centre, brings you a regular feature highlighting special pets in need of adoption.

Looking for a pet that is as spunky as you? Tuna is a one-year-old female domestic shorthair cat with a gorgeous black coat and a lot of personality. Tuna is very affectionate and high energy. She often gets excited, playing like a kitten. She is best recommended for an experienced cat owner with no small children in the home.

Tuna is hoping to find a loving home in time to spend the holidays with her new owner. As a part of the iAdopt for the Holidays campaign, all adopters who bring home a cat or kitten from the Provincial Education & Animal Centre during November will receive a box of Arm & Hammer™ Slide™ Easy Clean-Up Clumping Litter, while supplies last. All cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, microchipped, come with a gift of one month of pet insurance and are up to date on their vaccinations.

iAdopt for the Holidays, supported by Royal Canin, runs until Dec. 31 at participating SPCAs, Humane Societies and rescue groups nation wide. The goal is to get as many animals as possible placed into loving homes during the holiday season. Last year, more than 4,000 animals from across Canada found their forever homes during the iAdopt for the Holidays campaign.
