Katie is a 10-year-old, medium-hair, tortoiseshell cat with a big personality. Not only is Katie social with other felines, she loves to chat – especially around meal time.
When Katie’s owner could no longer care for her, a family friend promised to provide for Katie as if she was her own. Sadly, after five years, when Katie’s new caretaker moved to a retirement home, she couldn’t bring her four-legged friend.
Now Katie is at the Ontario SPCA Provincial Education & Animal Centre in Stouffville waiting to meet the perfect family. Could it be yours?
While in our care, we discovered Katie has hyperthyroidism. To ensure Katie is healthy and comfortable, she will require ongoing care, which involves daily medication, regular veterinary visits and bloodwork. Her daily medication is easily applied to the inside of her ears and she is comfortable having it applied. She doesn’t let her health challenges interfere with her social life!
In an effort to help Katie find her forever home sooner, a generous individual has paid Katie’s adoption fees. These fees ensure that Katie is fixed, micro-chipped, vaccinated and ready to go to a loving home.
