Adopt Me: Kat is the purr-fect companion

Kat just seems to know exactly when folks need a friend close by

NewmarketToday, in partnership with the Ontario SPCA Provincial Education & Animal Centre, brings you a regular feature highlighting special pets in need of adoption.

Kat is a 10-year-old, female, domestic medium-hair cat who would love some extra cuddles. Kat came into the care of the Ontario SPCA Provincial Education & Animal Centre when her previous pet parent could no longer care for her. She was the puur-fect companion for a gentleman living with Alzheimer’s and seems to know exactly when you need a friend close by.

This affectionate girl wouldn’t turn away from a head rub and might even give you a lick if she really likes you! Kat is scheduled for an upcoming dental surgery, but we would like to find a loving home for her so she has a family waiting to bring her home as soon as she recovers.

The Provincial Education & Animal Centre is open by appointment and has introduced limited contact adoptions to keep our community safe during COVID-19. Potential adopters interested in animals like Kat can expect the same thorough, thoughtful and compassionate adoption experience that the Ontario SPCA has always delivered.

For more information on Kat, or to see other animals available for adoption, visit ontariospca.ca/peac or call 905-898-7122, ext. 306.
