NewmarketToday, in partnership with the Ontario SPCA Provincial Education & Animal Centre, brings you a regular feature highlighting special pets in need of adoption.

Grey is a 10-year-old male tabby searching for a fur-ever home! This independent and bold senior has a bit of cat-itude; he’ll tell you when he wants your affection. But if you are okay letting him take the lead, he might be the purr-fect cat for you!

Having spent his life with one person before coming into our care, Grey enjoys a calm environment, without children or other animals. Wanting to be the king of the castle, Grey will do best with a cat-savvy home where he can relax on the couch and enjoy his golden years. To keep him happy and healthy, Grey requires a special diet.

Our goal at the Ontario SPCA is to help find animals like Grey their fur-ever homes. Thanks to the generosity of our community, animals in need are able to get their second chance.

Help make a difference in an animal’s life this February, by registering for National Cupcake Day™ We’re challenging you to a bake off, so pre-heat those ovens and get ready to show off your cupcake decorating talents for the National Cupcake Day Decorating Contest, presented by Milk-Bone® and Robin Hood®.

The cupcake with the most votes in each of the four categories wins, so ask your family and friends to visit the National Cupcake Day website to vote for your creation and show their support with a donation to your online personal fundraising page.

Visit nationalcupcakeday.ca to register, fundraise and submit a photo of your cupcake creation for a chance to win some great prizes.
