Adopt Me: Do you love Lucie?

Her adoption fee has already been paid, so this nine-year-old sweetheart is ready for a new home

NewmarketToday, in partnership with the Ontario SPCA Provincial Education & Animal Centre, brings you a regular feature highlighting special pets in need of adoption.

Lucie is a laid-back, domestic short hair cat at the Ontario SPCA Provincial Education & Animal Centre in Stouffville.

Like Lucille Ball, star of the show I Love Lucy, our Lucie is that she is looking for love and attention! Being a social eater, Lucie prefers company while enjoying her breakfast and dinner.

This nine-year-old sweetheart was adopted from our animal centre last summer.

Unfortunately, she developed pancreatitis and ended up back in in our care. With special treatment, regular veterinary visits, and little extra love, her latest test results indicate she no longer has pancreatitis and is ready to find her forever home.

Over the holidays a wonderful supporter of the Ontario SPCA paid the adoption fee for Lucie to help this longtime resident find a home.

Lucie is fixed, microchipped, vaccinated and waiting for you! So why not be the Mister Pete to Sally Sweet and give Lucie your hand to chick-chicky-boom all the way home. For more information on Lucie or other animals waiting for a loving home, visit ontariospca.ca/peac or call 905-898-7122, ext. 306.
