Adopt Me: Bonded pair of cats seeking the purr-fect home together

The best fit is a quiet home with no small children

NewmarketToday, in partnership with the Ontario SPCA Provincial Education & Animal Centre, brings you a regular feature highlighting special pets in need of adoption.

With the winter cold upon us, it’s the perfect time to take in some snuggles with a furry friend, or two! Nano and Michael are a bonded pair of feline siblings looking for a quiet and calm home to call their own.

Nano is a seven-month-old female, domestic shorthair cat. This shy, but sweet, brown tabby knows her name and will come straight to you for pats when you call her. Michael is a seven-month-old male, domestic shorthair black cat. Michael likes to play hard to get, but turn your attention away from him and he will flop over your feet for cuddles.

These fur siblings may seem shy at first, but you can quickly see that this is all a ploy to get your attention and affection! They would do best in a quiet home with no small children and would prefer a patient pet parent.

Our goal is to find a loving home for Nano and Michael – and as many animals as possible – during our iAdopt for the Holidays campaign, sponsored by Petplan, which runs until Dec. 31 at participating SPCAs, humane societies and rescue groups across Canada. With many people enjoying time off during the holidays and being home together as a family, now is the perfect time to welcome an animal into your life. Together you can spend time with your new furry friend and help them settle into their new home.

If you have an adopted animal at home, visit iadopt.ca to submit their photo before Dec. 10 for your chance to win the grand prize – including a $500 Visa gift card! Plus, there’s the bragging rights of being the lucky one to enjoy cuddle time with Canada’s Cutest Adopted Pet.
